Description : SUMMER OPENING! from July 15th to September 13th 2011 Hostel Jan Palach is situated on the Giudecca island, in a privileged position within Venice: you can enjoy an unique panorama from a place which allows you to see Piazza S. Marco and the Salute basilica aligned in the same view. You will be surrounded by a truly relaxed atmosphere, which can only be offered by the Giudecca island. You will be welcome in a youthful and homely context; 5 minutes by vaporetto away from San Marco Square. Here you can rest and share your experience in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. As this is an independent youth hostel there is no age limit and an YHA card is not required. The kitchen is small but fully equipped with everything you need: microwave/ oven/ grill, freedge/freezer, toaster, cutlery, utensils and tableware. Jan Palach Hostel staff is looking forward to seeing you and they are ready to help you providing all the information you could need! Reception hours: Morning: from 9.00 AM to 12.00 AM Afternoon/Evening: 4.00 PM - 8.00 PM (you can also arrive later than 8 pm but in this event you should contact us at least one day before the arrival to arrange an appointment) Check out: from 9.00 am to 10.00 am (on request is possible to do it also before this time) No Curfew We only accept cash payments upon check-in in local currency Euro! The City of Venice will enforce a new tourist tax for visitors staying overnight, starting from August 24th. The tax, will be levied on the first five consecutive nights of any overnight stay. Ostello Jan Palach is classified as “Holiday home” and the tax will be 2,00€ per person per night. THE PRICE DOESEN'T INCLUDE THIS TAX. CANCELLATION POLICY: All cancellations must be carried out 5 days before the arrival date. In the event of a no-show OR a late cancellation Hostel Jan Palach has the right to charge the first night’s accommodation.
